Meet Dr. Patrick Thompson — Fellowship-Trained Osteopractic Physical Therapist in Lafayette, LA
I help active adults finally get to the root of their pain so they can stay strong, confident, and pain-free for life.

Why I Do What I Do
I’ve seen too many patients frustrated by quick & temporary fixes, generic/cookie-cutter Physical Therapy, or being told to “just rest.”
That’s why I built Flow Physical Therapy and Wellness right here in Acadiana — a place where you get one-on-one care, a clear plan, and lasting results.
My passion is helping people like you uncover the real cause of your pain, so you can move freely, train harder, and get back to the things you love without the fear of reinjury.

Dr. Patrick Thompson, PT, DPT, OCS, Dip. Osteopractic, FAAOMPT
Owner & Physical Therapist
Hi! I’m Dr. Patrick Thompson, PT, DPT, OCS, Dip. Osteopractic, FAAOMPT. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist. I am also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.
I am passionate about injury rehab from head to toe - some even call me a huge "Physical Therapy Nerd."
I believe in a root cause approach to your healing that goes beyond temporary fixes or guesswork/generic treatment approaches to avoid unnecessary imaging studies, surgeries, and medications.
I grew up in South Louisiana, played baseball in college, and found my passion for helping athletes recover and return stronger. Today, I live in Lafayette with my wife, our son, and our dog, Biggio. When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me spending time with family, watching the Saints & Astros, or discovering new restaurants around town.

"Flow is the BEST! Dr. Patrick was able to diagnose & treat my AC joint injury with great success. He used a combination of workouts, scraping, cupping, and my favorite, dry needling to help get me back to 100%. They’re not going to give you the run around or keep you coming back for 100 sessions to get you right. As a matter of fact, it only took Dr. Patrick 3 sessions for me to be back in perfect condition. I recommend Flow to anyone that’s having physical issues. They will take care of you!" - Austin B.
